Chronic Back Pain. (Manifestation of a block)

A woman I treated regularly about 7 years ago attended my practice recently. She had continued to practise Metamorphosis but due to considerable challenges in her life at present, she decided to seek the support of a catalyst again.

We both recalled the success she created with Meta in the past, when we discussed the time we first met. The woman suffered chronic back pain and was scheduled to undergo back surgery in the hospital where she worked. She was very resistant to surgery but as she had suffered constant pain and missed so much work time, she decided to go ahead with it. She was also suffering from the side effects of analgesic medication.

Her open mind and enthusiasm to self heal was ideal for Metamorphosis success! On the months leading up to her surgery date she noticed she needed less pain relief as her back pain eased. Her work attendance improved and she was enjoying a better quality of life.

The day before her surgery she arrived for a Meta treatment prior to her hospital admission. She was very hesitant about undergoing surgery due to her progress. However, she had doubts about maintaining her balance *(Afference and Efference) and that if her back problem returned, the hospital might not be sympathetic if she was absent from work again.  As she left me that day, I encouraged her to do her Hand Symbols to enable her to make a creative decision.

Later on that evening, I got a telephone call from the woman in an delighted state. She informed me that following her admission to hospital she was sitting up in bed, calm and relaxed doing her Hand Symbols, when her surgeon peeped in the door of her room and observed her serenity. He enquired about her back pain and mobility and following a check up, he discharged her.

The woman’s attitude had changed and her Consultant advised her to keep up whatever she was doing. He often met her in the hospital corridors during her working day, commenting on how well she was doing. Her back remains symptom free to this day, so much so, that she had forgotten she had a back problem. Recalling her past success with Metamorphosis gave her the impetus to get on with morphing her latest challenge.

Remember, Meta is a creative way of life that in practice, identifies and erases the block or the source of the symptom. A symptom is a manifestation of a block/Unconscious stress. Surgery is to do with the symptom, Metamorphosis is to do with the source.

Abuse And Disturbed Memory

Abuse whether it is verbal, physical or sexual, creates a disturbing memory in the lives of those who suffer it, inhibiting their creativity in life.

In my experience of being a catalyst for abused people over the years, I have seen many people erase the memory of their disturbed past.

Recently, a woman attending my practice encouraged me to write this blog about her sexually abused childhood and the creative effect of Metamorphosis. She said….“people should be aware that Metamorphosis is not about analysis and advice. I did all that over the years in therapy, trying to control my thoughts and discipline my mind. Nothing I tried created in me the independence and authority I now have with Meta. I no longer wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat with nightmares and I am overcoming anxiety and depression. I lost all innocence and trust as a small child, but with my Metamorphosis I do not have to suffer its effects.  Margaret…. I am free, I no longer identify with the memory of my disturbed past.”

Robert St john used to say, “the disturbed memories of life are minor to the disturbances of the gestation period, the trouble in gestation is minor to the disturbance registered at conception but, the unconscious negative pre-conception stress (beginning of time) is major source of trouble (block) in our lives.” It is the source of repeated disturbed patterns through time.

The woman is now in her early 40’s, beginning to live a life of freedom from the effect of her childhood and life in general. Metamorphosis gave the woman the opportunity to address the block or true source of her troubles. She no longer identifies with the negative pattern and is more at ease and creative. She hopes her story will help others to create permanent freedom from repeated disturbed patterns with Metamorphosis.

Bullying / Inner Authority

A young boy of six years was having fun playing football with his friends in front of his house. An older ten year old boy who had previously verbally upset him, arrived and started to intimidate him. The young boy ran in to his home and when his parents noticed he was upset, enquired about his problem. His dad was annoyed that an older boy had interrupted his play and mentioned to his son that he would go out and speak to him. The boy replied, “no dad that will make things worse”, then he turned to his mother saying, “mum I need a Meta treatment”.

The mother immediately left the lunch preparation, sitting down to treat her son, who requested a foot treatment. Following the treatment the boy said, “thanks mum, when is lunch ready”? then she heard the hall door close behind him. The parents went to the front window to observe their son continue to play happily with his friends. They saw that the older boy looked puzzled that the little lad had returned to play following his verbal attack. That was the end of the problem, resolved by the six year old child who had a knowing that Meta would enable him release his anxiety.

That young boy had an inner intelligence to resolve the conflict himself, which is what Metamorphosis is all about. When we take responsibility for our own imbalance, whether it is, too much sensitivity in the Afferently oriented or, too much force in the Efferently orientated, the imbalance can be resolved fundamentally and therefore permanently. The young boy is now a young man, who has a strong inner authority.

Metamorphosis is a creative way of life for parents and children. Problems can be resolved by the child with the parent as his catalyst.

Animals And Metamorphosis

My Metamorphosis experience with animals has been mainly treating dogs and to a lesser extent horses. Animals respond very well to Meta treatment and are generally enthusiastic to come back for more. Visiting a friend one morning for coffee, her labrador dog Max was lying low as there had been a thunder storm the previous night. He was a sensitive dog and had always reacted anxiously to thunder. My friend asked me to give Max a treatment. He was receptive to the attention and responded well, coming out of his retreat and wandering into the garden. My coffee visits following that always included a treatment. The dog warmly welcoming me with his wagging tail, positioning himself beside my chair so I could treat his spine. My friend reported to me that all the family noticed that he became less disturbed by sudden loud noise and was no longer retreating anxiously under the stairs at the sound of thunder.

Another lovely dog I treated was Buddy, a fox terrier. His owner was very upset one morning when she was having a treatment. The family had made a decision to ask the vet to put him to sleep. Buddy was then fourteen years old suffering from arthritis, diabetes and poor eye sight. It had been months since her beloved dog had been upstairs, waiting outside her bedroom door in the mornings to greet her. She wished he would pass away naturally rather then have to be put down. At the woman’s request, I went to her house that afternoon to treat Buddy. He was very weak lying on the couch. When I finished treating his spine he was barely breathing. Then I left him to do whatever would come naturally for him - living or dying.! The following morning the woman telephoned to say that her Buddy had managed to climb the stairs like old times and was outside her bedroom door waiting for her. He lived for a few weeks and then  passed away naturally and peacefully.

I was introduced to Zoe, a nervous maltese dog, when her concerned owner brought her along for a treatment. Unlike her maltese brother Harvey who was confident and decisive, Zoe was anxious about everything including passing traffic when on their daily walk. She moved with hesitancy as her sibling walked confidently along. She was also fearful of the family cat who regularly intimidated her. Following the treatment the owner informed me that when they arrived home, Zoe ran after the cat in the garden and that was the end of the cat’s domination. The dog was happy to come back for a couple of treatments and became more at ease in traffic and  naturally authoritative with other animals.

The quality of life of your animal can be improved in a short time with Metamorphosis. Their simplicity of mind and receptive nature is ideal for a creative response to a treatment. Just like humans, Meta gives the animal freedom to enjoy the “moment”.

The Fear Of Death

Robert St John spoke about death and dying at a seminar in Dublin, on the week prior to his death, in October 1996. He said that “the majority of people fear death, as death is unknown and unknowable, it is an end and people do not like the end”. He had no fear of death and in a light-hearted way, said that he wished to be in his boots and on the move when his time came to die, but he did not wish to be standing as it would be undignified to fall. Robert was then an elderly man of 83 years with the energy and enthusiasm of a young man, about to embark on a new life in Italy. Less then a week following the seminar, Robert passed away suddenly after his arrival in northern Italy. He was on the move, in his boots and I was relieved to hear, he was not standing at the time of his death.!

I have been frequently asked by the relatives of elderly people in Nursing Homes to introduce Meta to their relatives suffering from anxiety and disease. One day, I got a call from a nun who was in charge of a ward in a local Nursing Home. She did not understand Metamorphosis, but had seen positive change in the patients I had treated there. She observed the Meta patients were less demanding and more at ease as they practised the Hand Symbols. She made an appointment for a very anxious woman, who was reacting negatively to prescribed medication.

I arrived to her ward at the appointed time and the nun introduced me to a 92 year old woman, who was crying out fearful prayers. It was disturbing to the other patients and staff on the ward. The nun said that the only break they got from her cries of fear of god and death, was when she was heavily medicated. When awake, the anxious praying would commence again.

The woman was very open and receptive to the treatment and gradually calmed down and expressed much appreciation at the finish. I thought her the Hand Symbols and she asked me to come again soon. Before leaving the ward, I spoke to the nun about the Hand Symbols and recommended that she do them regularly with the woman, especially when she was disturbed in prayer. The nun had limited understanding, but had enthusiasm, due to the positive effect she observed in the other Meta patients. She was willing to be a catalyst to help the woman to be at ease.

I returned to do weekly treatments at the woman’s request, who was gradually becoming more at ease and praying with less fear. The nun did the Hand Symbols with her every night and reminded her to do them during the day, whenever she became anxious. One day, the woman remained calm for an entire treatment and before leaving the ward, I went to the nurses station to inform the nun that she had not prayed. She replied saying “hallelujah, I won’t mind if the woman never prays again. Being a nun, that should not be my wish, but I wish her to be free of the fear of god and death”.

The nun got her wish as the woman became more serene, beginning to pray gently as in a sing-song. She was more cheerful when I arrived to give her Meta treatments and her pattern of life became more pleasant and relaxed. One Saturday morning, about a month after the woman’s 95th birthday, I got a telephone call from the nun informing me that, “our beautiful friend had passed away peacefully, while doing her Meta Symbols. I have cared for many dying people in my career, she said, but none as calm as our dear friend was at the end. Thanks to Metamorphosis”.

In my experience over the years, I have observed the freedom from fear that comes with the practise of Meta. This is created by transmuting the stresses and anxieties accumulated from the past. Then we can experience the joy of creative living and ultimately, dying in the “moment”.
